- Well what size tires do you have now? and 285 measures out to almost 33" tall... Get some of them and they'll fill out nicely I've my torsion bars cranked and it gave me a 2" lift and I've got 285's and have about 5-7" from the tire to the fender... Don't look bad at all.
Wouldnt you need to know the aspect ratio and rim size to determine the overal size? Umm no... It's called a tape measure... lol I just set them on concrete mounted and aired up and measure them with a tape.

| 285 is the width of the tire, not the height. You need to know the aspect ratio and rim size to determine the overall size of the tire. | |

| Ok now I've been told this by numerous people but then why is a 285/75/16 bigger then a 265/75/16 but not any wider? | |

75 is the aspect ratio of the tires width. Its 75% of the width. If you take 75% of 285mm & 75% of 265mm, the 75% of 285 will be more. So, the 285 will be taller and wider, as long as everything else is the same.

| oh ok I see now... I hate these metric measurments why can't we just use standard measurments like 33/12.50/15? It makes life so much easier! | |

| Oh, because the united states and parts of canada are the only ones that have realized that standard measurements are in fact easier to use than metric....... and they all wait for use to convert to metric..... | |
