| hey guys, would yall happen to kno if i can fit a 295 70 17 on my 06 z71 stock? i plan on using the factory wheels, and the truck easily would clear some 285's as it sits now. im just wondering if yall have any real world experience with these trucks. a leveling kit would not be out of the question, but thats about all id be willing to do. and i DO NOT want to trim my fenders lol | |

| As far as I know, the widest GM recommends on the stock wheels for your truck is 285. Can you fit 295s? Probably, but you'll likely run into body rub in certain situations. | |

| huh, i never knew GM offered oversized tires as an option. i guess 285's are the better choice. there are only like three tire options in the 295 size | |

| 295 is more of a road course performance tire size. There are a ton more options in 285 | |

| Yeah I currently for about another week or so am running 285s however if a leveling kit is in mind let me know first because I have 3 sets of 2" blocks for the rear of a truck I'd hook you up for sure then a few cranks on the torsion keys and da dang da dang poof 2" lift and level kit cheaper then any kit out there!! | |

| Well what size tires do you have now? and 285 measures out to almost 33" tall... Get some of them and they'll fill out nicely I've my torsion bars cranked and it gave me a 2" lift and I've got 285's and have about 5-7" from the tire to the fender... Don't look bad at all. | |

Wouldnt you need to know the aspect ratio and rim size to determine the overal size? | |

| well my original question was for 295s, but lack of tire choice has me goin back to 285s. besides, that means more money left over to possibly finally put my winch on there. maybe. | |
