PostSubject: For Sale: 1993 GMC Sierra C2500   For Sale: 1993 GMC Sierra C2500 EmptyAugust 25th 2009, 4:38 pm

I am (more or less) the original owner.

My father ordered it brand new in 2/93, arrived 4/30, according to the original paperwork. Mom and I went to go pick it up when the dealership called, so therefore the truck is in her name. It's been in her name since then, and I "took over" everything in 2005, but did not change the title, so it is still a one owner. I was 9 months old when we got it ( I actually remember getting it, believe it or not) I remember they had it parked out front, and I got strapped into the passengers side in my carseat, and....I digress.

Anyway, as it currently is now, it has 253,496 miles. The engine was replaced (4.3L) in 9/1997 @ 120K miles with a JASPER ramanned unit.
The transmission is original, however, the NEw Venture 3500 transmission is almost indestructible, and has ZERO issues. I believe this trans. will go well over 500K miles, it has the ability. The rear end is original as well, but it has no issues. The entire front suspension has replaced 1-2 times over it's life, I'm guessing ~70-80K on all of that, still nice and tight.

Recently done:

Head Gaskets - $60.00 - Done myself
Top End Rebuild (resulting from the head gaskets) top end is in ship shape. (a LOT of $$, lol) - Some of it done myself.
Resealed the entire A/C system, it holds pressure. It did work after I replaced the compressor and so on, but I'm a cheap guy (at times) so when I bought the new truck, I swapped compressors. Truck still holds a vacuum. Has a new Accumulator, all O-rings and Orifice Tube. - Did all this myself, price of parts, ~ $100.00. I spared no cost, as I want a 100% efficient and COLD system.
New Radiator - resulting back pressure from no leaking head gasket blew the old radiator with a hairline crack open (literally, coolant went everywhere) so replaced with a high quality OE replacement. $148.00. - Done myself
New rear U-joint -$17.50. (Old one was literally about to fall out, will post a pic later)
Fresh oil change with Mobile 1, power steering system flushed, coolant system flushed. - Done myself, fluids were probably $50.00 total.

The good: Everything that isn't bad; see below.

The Bad: Really depends on how picky you are. I have two other vehicles, so as long as this one moves, I'm not really concerned with small stuff like below:
1. Multifunction Switch. I don't see what people don't "get" about this, but there is a small pin that goes through two holes on the switch housing, and secures it to the column. One of the holes is broken, so the pin keeps wiggling out, making the switch kind of "lay" in the column. It's not going to fall out or anything, just doesn't make a nice "click" noise when you signal left, right, etc anymore. All functions work.
2. Drivers side door handle. This kind of is a biggie, but not really. It's snapped off. I still have the handle, and it probably could just be Gorilla Glued back on. Seems to be a common GM thing.
3. Cab Corners. Common GM thing, in fact, the only 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC I've seen that doesn't have this problem is my new one. Not bad at all, can easily be fixed before it gets bad. If it even gets worse.
4. Seat is worn, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I've got the entire drivers side bottom duct taped. I did "restuff" the seat though, so it's comfy.

It gets 20-22 highway, 16 or so city.

That's about all I got Very Happy
If anyone is interested, it's for sale locally and a few other spots for $1,250.00. Forum deal, you guys are pretty cool, $1,000 cash, it's yours. If no one wants it, it's either Juniors, or Merlin's come December. ( Both of you remember what I said about the Cavalier)

If no one buys it by December, and Merlin and Junior don't want it, and I get the Cavalier, it will be going to a charity.

If you have any questions, e-mail me at SignatureSeriesOwner@gmail.com.

It's still for sale, last guy was a deadbeat. Plus, I've turned down ~10 tire kickers, because it was blatantly obvious.

I've since fixed the bench seat.

Took this photo just now, it's in line for a detail tomorrow:

I took this a few days ago. I need to wash it again, but you get the picture.

Make an offer. At this point, as long as it covers the Continental, and the cost to rollback it here, I'm fine with it. I just don't care anymore.
