They should make sure the new engine holds together first before they try and reclaim a crown they have not held in years!! Top Power, and an engine that WILL hold toether isa the crown I am talking about.

So why is that wrong, they will repay it. Would you turn your back on a loved one if they had financial troubles too?? Same thing. I really cannot see the logic in that statement at all.

| no, live and let die. this isnt a loved one. it was a failing company. thats capitalism for ya. saving a failing company by throwing money at it is completely wrong. expecially when its OUR money. just my opinion. | |

I really cannot see the logic in that statement at all. Agreed. Tons of companies take loans from the Government, so why is this different? And for all you blue oval boasters, Ford took loans too.... they just werent publically broadcast! http://www.ecoseed.org/en/general-green-news/green-business-news/green-business-news/4408-ford-gets-59-billion-to-make-green-cars

| i think he meant on t.v. or was bein sarcastic. i dont know. but the difference between the loans you speak of is GM was BOUGHT by the government. its like your loved one went into debt and sold himself to the fed. they control every aspect of his life now. i can understan why you would disagree, but not why this isnt a valid opinion. | |

| Andrew, it is a valid opinion. But my point was the statement wasnt founded. Not liking a company because they took a loan just doesnt make sense. I can understand your concern about the shares... but it was to the benefit of the taxpayer. This way, if GM defaults again, and the liquidate, the repayment is darn near guaranteed. In a simple loan, its get in line and wait.

| eh i think its more of a grab all you can. i just worry about all the gov. interference and takeover of everything. i'm really conservative for someone my age. i dont see how they took a loan. they were bought out. i think thats what you mean. "Not liking a company because they took a *long just doesnt make sense." *loan? i think the gov. has no business grabbing private companies. im really interested in this cause i havent heard this POV. | |

| well, i dont hate chevy, and i do love fords because i grew up around them. i dont care if they are the worst truck on the road, in my book they are the best. but chevy makes a decent truck, imo, i just dont like all the electronics in them, how they have digital everythign and power everything. ill stick to my 88 mazda with power nothing and manual everything. | |
