I dont know much about Dodge trucks but if there anything like the newer Dodge cars I wouldn't have one. My Dad has a 02 Dodge Stratus and has had a lot of electrical problems with it. typical dodge lol

| I agree. I can't stand Dodge.
If the transmissions last 100K, it's a miracle.

| i've had fords and chevys and honestly, i like certain models of both just as much as the other.. i love fox body mustangs/tbirds/cougars/capris and 89-96 tbird super coupes(had an 89 with a 5 spd and bolt-ons, god i miss it!) and of course my ford trucks.. chevys.. i love the muscle cars but can't say i care much for anything over 81 except the S-series trucks if i ever had to buy a new truck, it'd be a tacoma and i'd bag and body drop it | |

| If you want a Ford that is as reliable as an old Toyota, the Panther chassis will never steer you wrong. There's a reason why they are used as Police cars, Taxi's, Limo's, etc. | |

| I'm as loyal as I can afford to be... If I'm looking for a truck and a ford is in my price range I'm look as hard as possible to find a chevy in the same range but it don't always work that way... I admit I was the owner of a Ford F150 at one point !! | |

| Before I bought my Silverado, I was looking for a Dodge Ram with a Cummins, I couldnt find one I could afford, so I bought my truck. | |

| i'm 95% loyal when it comes to building a mud truck.. i won't build anything other than a ford for myself. i've seen a lot of chevy's break out on the trail and pulled many home behind my bronco i'm not saying the fords don't break, sure i've had my bronco break a couple things, but 99% of the time, i could still drive it home. i put my sonoma through the slightest bit of water and the transfer case motor started going haywire. i put a manual tcase in it and started wheelin it a little harder and the whole IFS 4x4 junk up front took a dump.. needless to say, i'm putting ford rears under it now | |

| Now see that's where I disagree... lol The only mud trucks I'll build where bowtie's... I do agree with you on the NP243 Tcase motors they're junk as is the whole IFS system the GM swears by so religously... However when I SAS my truck I'm coverting back to the NP208 solely because the use the pass. side drop... I've seen to many fords and chevy's with ford front axle's break the front U-joint and slice the fuel line and spray gas all over the exhaust and that's where a fire extinguisher come's in handy!!! | |

| that's why everyone i know uses spicer joints, no matter what they have lol.. but that's not fords problem, the rears and axles are all dana except the 8.8" and 9"
and i'm trying to find out if i can bolt up a 205 to my tailshaft on the sonoma.. some people say no, others say yes

| Yeah I'm running sealed and hardened spicer Ujoints and axle joints and ball joints so I don't have that problem.... And I do believe they make an adpater plate for the 4l60/700r4 tailshaftes... And yea it's not fords problem it's just one of the con's of driverside drops | |

| Rite on yeah eventually my rear axle will see yukon gears and Detriot locker and the front will see a full spool wrapped in yukon gears as well... I'm gonna go with 4.88's to balance the power and economy alittle when I'm running my 37's not to mention if I take the gearing as close to stock for the wheel size as I can get then my speedo won't be like 20 mph off!! | |
