It runs great. It just doesnt shift great.... lol... It needs some work, but slow and steady wins the race.

any new pics of the truck... what have you done to it in the last month or so?

Just rust repair stuff, still pricing out and finding parts. I've had to poor a lot of money into the 97' and the 03', plus I lost my tuition asisstance so money has been VERY tight.

well if you need metal i can get you it dirt cheap... i paid 95 bucks for both rockers( not the slip cover type ones eather), both inner kick panels, and a full floor pan for my 85 c10... i found a guy that will sell me parts at wholesale prices... he lives right by me and even with the price for me to ship it to you it would be cheaper then getting it from ebay or elsewhere and the metal isnt cheap ****... lol

I need a tailgate for it bad, mine is rusted through;

ill see if i can find an intact one at the boneyard and get you a price on a oem replacement... they you can deside what you wanna do..

I have seen a bunch of different new ones, but they are between $300 & $500. Thats too rich for my blood.

Here is the trailor I used to tow the 85' with when I picked it up. It was raining for three days prior and the mud was horrible. If you look at the front left tire of the truck you can see how the tires where just caked with mud.

Merlin, there's a gentleman here who has a 1987 GMC Suburban just sitting by the trees. It looks fine, I'll stop by tomorrow and ask about parting the tailgate.

I think I remember him saying the design was different and it wouldn't work, or it was pretty rusted out as well.
