It is that good, honestly. Some of our security folks got the new version before we redeployed this last time and they were amazed.

Well, I can't say how fast it will go but you can find the MRAP drag races on YouTube. The FPI Buffalo(Mack8) won, but the JERRV had until the line. I know they will go 70 but the tires are only good to 55. Economy is good. Those ACERTs are great runners but they do not like JP-8. We added oil to every tank to keep the IPs happy. I think we got around 8 MPG but we were usually going extremely slowly.

Well, technically not much worse than ULSD unfortunately.

Do you run JP-8 in the Duramax work truck? How does that do?

Runs fine. We only have two choices, DF2 and JP-8. JP-8 is the better option.

So do you run JP-8 in Slick and Chum?
DF2? Never heard of that.

The LMM will go crazy trying to keep the DPF clean while burning DF2. It runs like a champ, but it's not something you should do. You also run into issues with the fuel not really being legal in a vehicle that leaves the installation.

None that I am aware of. It's the Military name for #2. The Sulfur content is the issue, so I have been told.

Ah, I get you. Its most likely LSD. Yeah, the LMM wouldnt like that.
Do you put oil in the tank of the LMM like you do on the JERRV?

Tank does that. He has to add 2-stroke to it.

I know, I've been trying to get my hands on some since I first heard about him doing it. I would love to try it in my trucks and see what it does, but not a $8 a gallon.

It's ridiculous expensive. It just gets a different cleaning process so it can run in turbines. It's not that special.

Yeah it is. Cheapest around me is $8 a gallon, and you need a permit to buy it. BUT, if I could get it for free like Tank does.....

He has a special deal going there. I know plenty of guys that would jump on that. I won't run it. Call me a candy butt but I'm sure some egghead would screw me if JP-8 messed something up.
