Well, it was definitely an adventure.
All together, there was four Jeeps. A 1994 Cherokee that belongs to a guy I met on another forum, a 2003 Wrangler TJ, basically stock, that belongs to an old friend of my girlfriend, myself and my '96 Cherokee and while we were registering to ride, we hooked up with a guy and his family, running a 2008 Wrangler JK unlimited that was built to the hilt.
We were going to stick to green trails with some blue trail by-passes, but we ended up on quite a few black trails. A little more extreme for sure.
The 94 cherokee tore off his exhaust, and I snaped a u-joint on my front axle and in turn broke one of my upper control arms. We had access to parts and a shop, and did a mid-day trail repair, but it did not hold.
No worries, it was still an incredible day and loads of fun! Check out some of the pictures we got....
So yeah, after some repairs, and some beefing up on some under body protection and the drive train, I will be back up there again I'm sure!

HAHAHA, nice! Okay, so seriously, I believe I have made a similar descision! HAHAHAHA
BUT, first, I need to repair the broken parts. Doing cheap olie right now so I can continue to drive it every day, but in a few weeks, I am going to order a set of adjustable, flex jointed, upper control arms, a few skid plates, rocker guards and a set of tru-loc ("lunchbox)" lockers.
I do not want to spend a shitton on these axles, so that will work for now. Meanwhile, I am keeping my eyes open for a nice, unabused, set of Dana 44's which I will build right with controllable lockers and lower gears.... But that is in the way distant future I think.....
But seriously, I loved that comment, thank you....LOL
