| Okay, i was wrong on the year, let me say that right off the bat.... he told me 1997, but when i ran the vin for insurance, its actually a 1996. Oh Well.... Okay, this is the country edition with the 'selec-trac' 4wd system, which offers both part-time AND full-time 4wd along with the 2wd and 4lo settings..... Under 150k on the odometer... sorry the pic sucks...LOL Interior is clean! And of course, just for Merlin.... here are some money shots of the straight 6! It was only 3000 bucks +TT...(around here right now, after the high snow levels last year, thats a steel, believe me!)... but I could not do all of it today, only about 2500 so I still owe like 1200 bucks or so... but thats only a few weeks worth of payments and this bad boy is good to roll! Like slammer said in another thread, eventually, this will be an off-road queen, but for now it is my pride and joy and daily driver... other then a new stereo head unit, (going in next monday) and a matching set of rims, (there are only three and 2 steel spares) most of the mods and upgrades will be spring time.... least thats the plan... but I know me and more then likely it will have some mods before winter! LMAO...... Interesting news though, on my way home, the muffler broke off! I don't know what it is about me and friggin exhaust systems not staying on.... but I thought it was funny.... and this engine SCREAMS with no muffler.... lol... it was almost deafening..... Good thing I work at a Jeep dealership, so hopefully I can get that fixed in the next day or two. Its a rust free system, just the pipe clamp holding the muffler to the mid pipe slipped. And when I tried to tighten it back on...lol... the bolt snapped! Guess I do not know my own strength! LMAO And before you ask, I bought it AS IS, so I cannot go back on the used car dealer that sold it to me... I already tried. So anyways, with all that being said........ what do you all think? | |

| Nope They took that away from me..... Had a subaru for a while, but it was running only only 3 out of 4 cylinders until last friday when it finally gave out completely. | |

| Just for merlin? darn right! Cant check out a new girl without having a look up the skirt! Looking good! Especially for 150K miles on her. 1 thing I did notice though, that back right tire looks pretty bald. Was someone having fun with their new Jeep? | |

| no, the rear tires are junk..... They just barely pass inspection, and therefore they stayed, the front are new though..... I will replace them eventually, in addition to getting a "matching" set of wheels, this one on the driver's side annoys the crap out of me! It seems like the spare, but I have a full-size, great treaded spare on a steel wheel in the back, so I have no idea where this one came from....LOL | |

| Someone probably hit a pot hole too hard and just threw on the cheapest one they could find. As for the interior, it looks great. Nice and clean, but the wood trim got to go! | |

| Its a Jeep, not an Oldsmobile...
Pull the stuff off and paint it gray to match the rest of the interior. It will look 1000 times better. | |

| I could go and order the steel trim, or perhaps the carbon fiber trim.... Either way, it will be in the future...LOL | |

| yeah.. being its gonna be a trail queen in its future life i would leave the wood.. it sucks you didnt get this sooner.. my dad just got rid of his black cherokee and i had just put in some really nice aftermarket suspension style seats i got from the junkyard.. i had to weld up brackets to make them work in his but im sure they would have worked in yours.. they apperently did something different to the interior from 88 to 94.. they look exactly the same but the seats mount completly different.. you have mount that are parrallel with the floor and the ones i got mounted vertical into the floor.. nothing a little 8 guage metal couldnt take care of..lol.. thats just an FYI for future refrences.. even the back seat mounted differnt but that was just a matter of drilling out a pin and using the bolt from the stock seats.. | |

| Well for right now, these seats are extremely comfotable... But I think, (when the time comes to build it JUST for the woods) I will go with the style you mentioned with five point harnesses....LOL.... but we will see. | |

| My friends all know me waaaayyyy to well..... LOL The lift has been bought and paid for! LMAO..... Okay look, before you laugh, hear me out. I still have the rims and tires off my old S10. Seems they are harder to sell then I thought they would be. SOOOOO, i figured I could use the tires for the Jeep. they are 30X9.5 which will NOT fit as it sits. So i did some checking, and the 1.5" lift kit is all it takes to clear these tires. So I dug a little more and it was cheaper to buy the lift AND HAVE it installed then to get a set of tires that fit. So i called the dealer. Turns out the 3" lift was only 3 dollars more expensive, and replaced the full coil springs as opposed to spacers. Okay, i decided I was going to do the 3" kit. THEN< I got to the shop to pay for it, and he had a 4.5" short arm kit WITH braketry sitting on the floor, for my Jeep. He said the guy who bought and paid for it, wrecked his Jeep and no longer wants it.... so since he had no use for it, he gave it ALL to me for the same price as the 3" kit! HAHAHAHA Only problem is, now my 30" tires are going to be way to small...lol.... so I need tires now too. BUT thats okay. The lift is being installed on the 19th! Then I found out that Rausch Creek is having an XJ ONLY day this comming september! So guess where I am going to be?!?! LOL I did not get a pic of the actual kit since I did not have my camera with me, but below are the pics from Rough Country's website.... not bad for only 300 bucks huh?!?!?! Man, you gotta love jeeps! Cheap to lift, easy to run, fun to play with! The full lift kit..... the front control arm drop kit..... It will basically look like this installed.....' | |

| Be sure to do some before and after pics. But that goes without saying LOL This would be a great opportunity to do an awesome step by step Installation Kinda like an episode of TRUCKS But a lil more realistic... Like with the colorful language after breaking a bolt and with the bloody knuckles | |
