| We have a pretty wide variety of vehicles on the site and I was curious what everyone was getting for fuel economy?
So, lets see what you got;
03; Average; 18.1mpg, High; 22.9mpg, Low; 13.4mpg (towing)
97; Average; 15.1mpg, High; 18.2mpg, Low; 12mpg
85; Wait and see, still on tank # one (stupid transmission). Previous owner told me he averaged 20mpg so I hope to get close to that.

| My truck got 17.9 at the last fill up.
If I make it a 2WD, I wonder how good it would be then, LOL

| 30 MPG? no way in hell, lol. With a lift kit, those tires, I don't think so. If you seriously average 30 MPG, I hate you. My old truck, after a whole top end rebuild, fresh cap, rotor, wires, plug, fuel filter, etc. got 20.1, and that was 98% highway. | |

| The blazer I had was averaging about 15-16 but after motor six was in and got tested, it got 23-25 on an average. I did some checking and the motor that finally worked and stayed in the truck was a 4.3 out of a newer sanoma... Also, I drove a 03 Chevy cargo van for a company with the 4.3 averaged 24-26 with it, AND my older 1995 S10 I had years ago had the 4.3 and a 5speed and I got 24-26 out of that thing too. So yeah, I believe it to be possible boys.
My 1996 S10, averaging 19mph, but is driven so slow it is not a fair estimate My F250 has risen to almost 18 MPG average. The lowest I got was 9mpg...LOL... but that was mostly in 4Lo...LMAO

| Last time I really paid attention to my odometer I had my gumbo's on her and I never quite did the math but I got a 26+/- gallon tank and could go 260 miles on a full tank and when I drove down state with her I had my 285's on and I got about 320 miles to a full tank... If you guys feel like doing the math go ahead I'm better off not knowing cuz then it doesn't hurt the wallet as bad!! I know my econmy is poor due mainly to my driving habits but the fact that I don't know excactly how bad it is makes it easier!! Now the wife's mitsi that's a different story!! About 30-34 in the city and believe it or not I actually sqeezed 40-42+/- on the highway last fall!!! That's the one thing I love about this non turbo 1.8!!! Can't beat the mileage!!! However when it comes to my 4x4 I too would rather have peroformance over economy!!! There's more to life then gas mileage! | |

With your tires, lift, aerodynamics, weight, etc.... Its really hard to believe. I know those trucks can get good fuel economy, but I have never before heard of anyone going over 25mpg before you Joe. If you had skinny tires, lowered, with a gutted interior I would beleive it no problem, but as your truck sits.....

| That's been my motto ever since my mom give me crap about buying a truck when the gas prices where getting to be the highest we'd ever seen I looked at her and simply said "Mom there's more to life then gas mileage... The economy might suck but we still have to have fun and if I go broke putting gas in my truck then I'll deal with it when the time comes" and it just kinda stuck with me!! | |

| i'm not going to lie, i would like to see my 79 get better gas mileage.. but i'm not going to sacrifice power over it.. i want my motor to push at least 350+hp, which with the right cam and intake setup, will put me over 450rwt in 4h.. i could deal with 8-10 mpg with that kind of power | |

| I don't know if it's possible 76, but if you can stick a 4.6L like the newer ones have in there, you'll get the same gas mileage. How do I know? My TC has a 4.6L | |
