I hate deer

i hate em. theyre tasty, but very, um, pesky. me and my gf were on our way home from ridin fourwheelers at about 2 this mornin, and i came over a small hill to see 2 does in the road. i didnt wanna slam on brakes bc i didnt want my wheeler to come thru the back glass so i slowed as much as i could and aimed for the hole between the 2. but it didnt work. the one on the left bobbed when it shoulda weaved and BAM! it woke my gf up and she commenced to screamin, i thought she was gunna cry lol. after assesing the damage in the light, i have a tweaked front bumper, broken marker light mounts on the driver side, and tweaked grill components. i hate deer. but on the flip side, i do get a rental until my truck is fixed. i love rentals

I think u need insurance on the rental, just in case

I nailed one at about 30-ish in the old red truck last year on Beaverdam rd. here (read: lots of steep dips and hills, sharp curves, etc) It's practically a one lane road. I got lucky, as the only damage, is a nickel sized dent in the front bumper

That sucks about your truck but did you at least keep the deer? All that work would be a shame for the meat to go to waste.

thats the crazy thing, we nailed this deer at prolly 40 mph, and ran completely over it. but when we went back, it had gotten up and ran off! i was pissed, messed up my truck and i didnt get anything out of it.

Did you look for it? I've found deer up to 1/4 mile from the point of impact I'm sure she was dead but just ran from nerves and adrenaline...

well it was 2 AM, we didnt really feel like walkin thru the woods lookin lol we jus checked the side of the road, then hauled butt to the house cause we were ready to go to bed lol

It's against the law if you hit a deer and pick it up to eat it. The game warden can go into ones house with no search warrent that's the law they have more power than the president when it comes to that.

not around here.. if you hit a deer and its wounded then all you got to do is call a cop, he will come out and shoot it in the head if its not already dead and then you can load it up and take it home..

I think if you hit one around here, you just gotta call the cops and they'll give ya some kinda paper or permit or somethin then you can take it.

i don kno about that law here, but i would think that anything you hit would be to bruised to eat
