| The title MY TRUCK SOURCE sounds like it should include everything truck related. Well with the exception of hand trucks and lift trucks Well maybe it should. Some people like to talk about that kind of stuff. I think whether your into Classic trucks, Fast trucks, Big or small trucks Your first search resault should bring you here. and satisfy and ALL your truck needs. That why I think MY TRUCK SOURCE is the perfect title | |

| Well, lets face it. No one with a big rig is going to go on here. We did this at the previous T4L, and no one ever posted, IIRC. | |

| Mike and William, I have to respectfully disagree. As a member of a few OTR tractor and farm tractor sites I can tell you without any doubt they are just as active as a 'pickup truck' forum is. I do believe we need Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Sections, as ALL trucks big, small, and anything in between, should be represented.
Now, because moderators do not have the ability to add sections I have put in a request to the admin (Junior3382) to add these sections, but as we know he wont be on much because of personal reasons, but when he can, he will add them.
For now, I suggest the tech (engine, suspension, etc..) as well as the pride and joy section.
Feel free to continue the discussion.

| I'm sure those sites exist, I've just never visited them. Thing is, how much will they be used? Will it justify the extra bandwidth consumed? | |

| I too voted yes... As a person who will soon be obtaining a CDL I'd like to learn more about our 18 wheeled counterparts... And the OP does raise a relavent point the site is My Truck Source but talking about pickups and mud trucks and declining to talk about tractor trailers and other heavy duty vehicals is like making a pizza but declining to use the cheese... I mean sure we've got the basics but it's not very filling and certainly not as desirable for others! Good point Trux!!! | |

| HaHaHa I like the analagy with the pizza... That works. Truck drivers on forums ??? Now a days we are seeing them more and more, what with the internet being so portable. Truck drivers can go online right in the comfort of their own truck or truck stops are now offering the internet to drivers. I know of one big rig forum with quite a few drivers on it, but it slips my mind right now. I think the reason it is so popular is because that forum also serves as a load broker site too. I'm not expecting to see our site over run with Transport drivers but I hope within a year or so we'll have a few threads started from a few transport enthusiast.
I think if it is given some time, and with the site now having the new url we will see some awesome show and shine pictures and like myself... truck enthusiast restoring classic big rigs. If you make it they will come (eventually)

| I voted yes on the matter, it would be nice to see a part of the forum dedicated to semis. I have a cdl and drive truck from time to time, i can give you guys who want to get one some tips on passing the tests, let me know if you need any help. With my work schedule I won't be able to answer right away, but I WILL get back to you. | |

| Now it's stuff like that, that would be cool to have posted in the General Discussion section of the Semi Big rig forum. I passed my Cdl test thread..... I would read I've had mine for over 15 yrs now but I'd like to know whats involved in getting your cdl Commercial Driver's Licence now. | |

| OMG I have enough problems memorizing the 79 parts inside of an auto tranny... I'd hate to see all the gears and servos and all the nessasary componants that go into an 18 spd trans with split gears and gear reducers and I believe they have planetaries too... fudge that... But in the same sense it would be nice to know! | |
