My Radio/Phono Collection Empty
PostSubject: My Radio/Phono Collection   My Radio/Phono Collection EmptyAugust 26th 2009, 6:20 pm

Not really sure why I'm doing this. I guess mostly because I have no homework, all my friends are either busy, and one is in the hospital (eye issue) and I've got 6 hours before I turn in. Very Happy

I'll go from oldest to newest, I guess. A few people on here liked the TV, so I'll post up what I have, some are for sale. (Gotta make room for more! Very Happy)

1929 Grigsby-Grunow Majestic Model 233.

Before my restoration:

And After:
My Radio/Phono Collection 8-17-09002-2
It still needs the original legs (6 @ 5") but it looks good like this. Search is ongoing, though.

My Radio/Phono Collection 8-22-090091948 Admiral 7C64W. Great-grandma's been in the family since new. very high end, plays AM/FM as well as a phonograph. Had to pay out the @$$ to get a FM radio before the late 50's.

$5 + shipping it's yours. It doesn't weigh much.
1965 Panasonic AM Clock radio w/ Alarm. I use it daily.
My Radio/Phono Collection WindsorMeade005
1974 Sony Table Radio. Impressive frequency response, especially low end.
My Radio/Phono Collection WindsorMeade006
1974 Califone 1420K Record player. Awaiting a new needle. For sale, make offer.
My Radio/Phono Collection Slm008
1975 General Electric V639j Record player. Automatic, 4 speeds, it even senses how big the record is (7", 10", 12".) Never used until a few years ago.
My Radio/Phono Collection 7-15-09
1978 Sears All-In-One Stereo w/ 6 speakers. 2 tweeters, 2 mids, and 2 8" woofers. Daily driver when I'm working on the bench.
My Radio/Phono Collection WindsorMeade049

I think that's it, Laughing

I am selling 3 TV's too, if anyone wants one. $10 each.

Not a truly *extensive* collection, but diverse. More will come, I've already got 3 prospects on hold for now.

holy crap, that's some nice stuff.. especially the before and after pic of the 37 philco.. wasn't in too bad of shape but those few scratches and warped speaker grill would have annoyed the hell out of me if it was mine hahah.. very nice

The speaker grille is cloth. It required replacement. Luckily, I found the original cloth online, it had set in an old paper envelope for 70 years.

Even though it wasn't *that* bad before I restored it, it looks nice after.

Beautiful collection 1993. You've taken very good care of them.
