AMC-290 V8 + AX-15 5spd + AMC-20 = AMC-MJ build

I have a 1988 American Motors Jeep Corp Comanche its a short bed 2WD truck, So i figured with it being an AMC Jeep and it being a short wheel based 2WD it would make a good plate form for a V-8 conversion and why not use an AMC-V8 power train being its an AMC jeep and all.

Currently:
AMC-150 I4, AX-4 4spd, D35 with 3.73's, and 235/75R15 tires.

The New Deal:
AMC-290 V8, AX-15 5spd, AMC-20 with 4.11's, and 235/75R15 tires.

I like the truck's stance on the 235's so i will be staying with those sized tires . . . truck is currently my driver so this will a little here and a little there type of build, unless i can find a beater to drive for a while.

The plan:
1. Restore the body & paint back to 100% factory.

2. Update the interior.

3. Upgrade the power train.

No specific order really just going along as it comes . . .

Well that is as far as i have gotten 1/3 of the drive train and 1/4 of the body panels . . . So far i haven't gotten and interior stuff yet

Thank's ya its rougher then it appears but its not as some i have seen restored.

its been a great asset, I figured i owed it one in return . . . I will being Keeping the 4cylinder drive train just in case the collector value of this Rig really spikes up ward, so it can be put back as tho it were never altered . . .

Looks good Mikey and thanks for the pictures. What the end desire? Drag truck? Tow king?

Driver is the main goal, Little light duty towing yet playful when romped on . . .

I wanted it to Grunt like truck when towing load, play like car when empty, yet be a durable reliable long lasting drivable Rig.

So basically what it is now, just stronger, faster, longer lasting, and more efficient.
I-4 = 14-16mpg V-8 = 17-19mpg / I-4 = 250K miles V-8 = 350K miles.
