| i would say its probley the wiring.. if the one side works and the other dont then that eliminates everything up to the split at the tail of the truck.. it could be the bulb socket as well.. start at the split with a test light and work your way back.. use something to hold the brake pedal down and wiggle the wires and bulb around on that side.. you might even be alble to physically see the bad spot in the wire.. i say this all the time and ill say it again.... its really hard to say what the problem is when it comes to electrical because there are way to many variables.. could be something stupid or something more indepth.. start with the stupid stuff like you already did.. | |

| lol.. im sorry but that would have been the first place i looked.. you can read up about any tail light problem on here and i have mentioned it before.. hack job trailer lights always tend to be a problem after 10 or so years of abuse.. | |

| I'm assuming you ran the power line across to make it work. Which means the ground is probably not the culprit. I would get a voltmeter and check every power connection from the cab back to the light. | |

| been checking my friend's truck on his tail lights also did the same thing but my mistake was checking the light itself and not testing the other factors (like the fuse) i ended up wasting my time removing tail light covers then scrutinizing the part itself just to find out the fuse is blown. doh! | |
