figure i would start another one of these.. keep the off-topic ramble down a little..

im pickin up another toy probley friday.. dude wants to trade me his 71 c10 fleetside for the motor that came out of the jimmy.. i was a little hesatent to sell it since it was the last peice i had of the truck but i made the deal.. i gotta deliver it friday and get the title done. if i get it i am probley gonna put the ls1 i planed on putting in the jimmy into it since the jimmy is no longer with us.. i let it go cause i have to many other projects going on.. after the red trucks motor blew i was debating on what to do.. i made it final the other day when the tow truck came and got it.. i have the 91 s10 that i can always sas and all so im not to worried about it..right now the s10 is my shop truck but i did shed a tear when the jimmy left though.. was a sad day.. the truck never really left me straided.. always found its way home.. lol.. so long little shitbox..

darn thats too badbout tha jimmy. yeah im goin fer my motorcycle licence this summer sometime so i can start a new obsession. good luck gettin that c10. i like fleetsides better.

i think im gonna go crazy.. i havent seen my wife or kids in 2 days now cause she has been at her uncles watching his kids cause he messed up bad.. there is alot of stuff going on right now with her family and i might have to take a leave of absents and spend some time where she is.. i thought it would be nice to have some time to myself but in all reality not having them around makes my house just seem cold and dark.. so if yall dont hear from me for a few days, least till the weekend then you know where im at.. i couldnt focus on anything at the shop i tried to go down the shore and fish and that didnt work so now im just sitting in y house alone and it sucks.. nothing is on tv, nothing online to do so im just rambling in this thread of mine..

i have yet to pick it up so i dont know the accual condition of it but i aint worried cause all i need really is the front frame clip and body.. it should be a fun little truck when im done in a few weeks.. i picked up a set of 19 inch vette wheels today for 450 bucks.. im using a 14 bolt firebird rear and ill just redrill the front rotors to fit the front rims.. here is a pic of the truck.. it has some rot on the drivers front lower fender and some around the rear wheel opening.

these are the rims i was originally gonna throw on it.. fats in the rear and skinnies in the front..


but i picked up a set of black z06 rims today for 450 bucks.. i took them to the wheel works by my house to have the rear made even wider and the front narrowed.. so ill be runing a 19x19 rear rim and 19x7 rim in the front.. the rear tires are gona be 31x23 and the front i havent picked out yet... probley a 40 series tire in the front though.. i needed the rims to be done before i can narrow the 14 bolt i got out of a newer camaro.. the rear rims are gonna have a 6 inch outer lip so it should look sick.. motors all prepped a ready to drop in.. once i get the truck i gotta build the roll cage and do my frame and interior and i should be done.. its gonna look like a darn hotwheels truck.. lol

yeah i am waiting for the title to come in before i do anything.. it sucks cause i wanted to have the truck already and throw in the ls1 and all for this weekends EFI NATS but i dont see that happening now.. ill still be taking the 00 firebird down there and running that.. should make some money if i keep my times straight.. cars running 10.63 all motor now.. just got back from a fun day at the track dialing it in.. if i had enough juice tonight i would have tuned it for the spray but i would need atleast another full bottle. lol

i really should change this to the unbored thread.. lol.. i been keeping busy.. right now i have so many jobs lined up at the shop its rediculous..

and a few small jobs like brake upgrades and performance tunes.. in the last month i have went through about 600 business cards between car meets and freinds giving them out for me.. im about to stop taking jobs till i get some of this cleared out.. the performance work jobs i have time but some of them they want it done yesterday.. im blowing out about 2 little jobs a day and doing the big jobs one by one little by little.. good thing i got 2 lifts now.. lol

looks like your doin good then. yeah some people are like, "yeah man just get to it whenever" and 2 days later they call askin if its done. keep it up.

yeah the house is gonna be paid off by christmas then i can take out a bigger load and get my house redone and get an addition going up since i already have one in the back.. i wanna take out the den and turn it back into a garage. lol

it aint that hard.. i picked up the engine today.. 5.3 out of a 03 seirra.. as far as the swap goes they make a complete kit but im not going that route.. ill be making the motor mounts and the wiring is cake.. its pretty much a stand alone setup stock but ill need to buy a harness and converter box to use the stock cluster in the truck as well as a shifter because its a manual right now and he wants and auto..

A 5.3L out of an 03' would be a LM7, and it weighs about 300lbs more then the 4 cylinder they put in Wranglers. I've seen a few Wrangler V8 swaps and each one the owner ended up regretting. Changes the whole weight distribution of the truck.

they guy just wants something that has power for towing and all.. his is lifted and has 39s on it but its strickly for show.. it has never seen the trails.. one of them guys.. lol

hey guys.. just for future refrence to you guys that smoke and have iphones.. dont put them next to the ash tray.. one of the times your gonna mistake it for the ash tray and put your cig out on it.. good thing i have an otterbox case.. gotta go up to AT&T to get a new case tomorrow though cause now i have a burn mark in mine.. no.. just wasnt paying attention.. i didnt notice till i put my cig out and i heard something funny.. it i had a camera that wasnt my phone i would post a pic.. burnt right through to the screen but the screen is glass so it didnt hurt the phone..
