| Personally I like Head-ache racks. If your not sportin a tonneau cover? A head-ache rack is a great idea. To make mine? I went around to our local grocery stores and picked up a bunch of their scrap metal display unites. I found some good metal meshing and some reasonable thick wall square tubing. | |

| I've made several of these headache racks and if you have access to a press, you can build a jig to put the contour of your cab in it by making small bends etc. I built 9 of them for a company here in town for a fleet of 2007 chevy hd's. They had the cab contours, expanded metal shields for the glass, cutout for the 3rd brake light, and a ladder rack that was removable incorporated into them and also a pedestal for a strobe light. After they were complete, they got powder coated in white and they looked awesome. | |

| My only suggestion is when you mount it, do not mount it to close to the rear glass. I've seen rear windows get cracked when the truck went over a rough bump. | |

| Good advice Joe !!! That reminds me, If your building your own rack? Don't do any grinding near the back window, or any glass for that matter. I put little tiny pits in the back window of my Dakota by grinding to close to it. | |
