| Well it depends were you like and your local laws. Here in Ontario the Glass Packs are on the shelve and for sale. And you can make your own glass packs here if you want to. BUT it is the cop's discretion. If he thinks your breaking the noise ordinance. And making excessive noise. Here's your free ticket. | |

| Like Glenn said, it depends on local laws, and the mood the cop is in. I have a friend with Monte Carlo that has glass packs on it. He passes inspection every year with no problem, but I cant tell you how many tickets he has received for excessive noise. | |

| When I had my Dakota and put dual exhaust with 2 glass packs.. I was told by the muffler shop he was forced by law to HAVE TO install 2 Cat converters. Not sure if this applies everywhere else also. | |

we had a bunch of buddy inspections going on around my home town..... then the cops started pulling loud trucks over for excessive noise, and if the inspection had barely been done, and the proper equipment wasnt on the vehicles, then the state fined the repair shop, the inspector, and revoked everyones inspector licences in that shop..... we went from 12 shops able to inspect to 1 with a liscence still in under a week...... but as for glasspacks, just check with your local noise ordinances.... itll save some money if they have one.... i put a loud exhaust on my truck once, and in 3 months had given enough money in noise violation tickets to pay for a brand new stainless steel exhaust, with magnaflow mufflers..... do some homework first, it might just save ya some money

| yeah. when my 66 ran, my dad went to inspect it one time (i was like 2 or 3 at the time) and the troopers were at the shop and so he wouldnt pass it with the 76 small block cause the air flow wasnt good enough or somethin. do he went to a appliance store, got some dryer hose, and stuck it on. the guy passed it, and my dad took it off 2 blocks down the street.
Edit*
oh yeah, and post a vid of how it sounds.

| Yeah that's true on the clap And they say, WHERE you mount them can determine the kind of sound your gonna get from them. Mounting them Forward, like under the driver's seat will give you a deep rumbling sound. Mounting them further back will give you that louder snapping sound. | |
