In measuring a wheels Back Spacing
All you will need is a Straight Edge (Yard Stick)
And a Measuring Tape.
Oh ya.. and a wheel with no tire.
Lay your wheel good side down, back side up. Lay your straight edge diagonally across the inboard flange. Now measure the distance from the contact point of your straight edge and the inboard flange to the hub mounting pad of the wheel. This measurement is your Back Spacing.
The above illustration shows three wheels with 2" 3" and 4" back spacing.
