Anybody here got a front mounted reciever hitch on their truck? I wouldnt mind having one on mine for back up trailers and especially farm wagons. Anybody thats ever tried backin up a farm wagon with a pickup will be able to tell ya wat a pain in the butt it is.

If your gonna do it John? Hide it. I only ever see them here, on service trucks at boat dealerships.

My grandfather was a truck driver My Dad, and I was.
If my Dad ever saw a front receiver hitch on my truck? He would never let me live it down. He was the one that tot me how to back up a set of B trains.

Well what really got me thinkin about it was the hitch on the front of grandpas 4020. He used it for backing up loaded gravity wagons. Figured it would be a handy thing to have on the pickup.

As for backing up a set of B trains.......you must have more patience than I cus i dont think i could ever do it lol

front recievers are very helpfull.. specially when it comes to the off-road world.. they make so many different things to hook up to it its insane.. you can easily modify a rear mount one to go in the front.. you just have to measure your frame rails from side to side.. then get a rear hitch that is that wide.. then you gotta cut a box in your stock bumper where the hitch part would stick though. mount it so it stick out just past where you would put the pin in and your done..

you can get a cooler rack, fishing pole mounts, receiver style winch mounts, tow hooks, pretty much anything.. i am making a front and rear bumper for mine that incorporates a hitch and has a hidden winch and tow hooks as well.. something like you would see on a pre-runner style truck..

yea i was kinda thinking that it would be good to be able to put a winch on the front OR the back of my truck so i can help myself or others (mostly me lol) out of bad spots. It sucks to be 2wd lol
