1999 tahoe 4w drive front slip yoke makes a clicking sound stopping and starting an goining over speed bumps any ideas?

Not ujoints bud he's talking about the slip yoke...
When was the last time you geased the slip yoke? It could be dry and seizing and poping loose when compressed and extended. Now just a question how do you know that is the slip yoke? Are you sure it's not the CV shafts or possibly your hub assembly? Also check you lug nuts aluminum rims have a tendency to make a popping sound when the lugs are loose...

It is the slip joint I have taken it out and lubed it and stoped for a couple hundred miles and it started again I guess i will have to change front slip joint

I think those slip yokes are teflon coated. You might pull it apart and see if the coating is gone,

There is a place here that will dip them but I'm not sure what they charge.
