Why am I seeing boxes with red X's?

Why is it that almost all of the avatars on here are showing up as boxes with red X's? Only mine and a few others show up. Same thing for avatar pics.

all of them show up fine for me.. it could be your internet settings or if you have dialup its your internet speed.. if you refresh the page they should show up fine.. it just times out after it tries to load them after a certaint amount of time.

Mine was doing the same thing yesterday I reloaded my avatar pic and now it works great I think people are just gonna have to reload all their pics then everything should work great!

Maybe that is it. The only ones I can see in this thread is mine and Fasels....

I havent changed any internet settings, and we got rid of dialup years ago.

Yeah yesterday mine was a red x... I went a uploaded another av and now it works... Merlin told me that when the server rebooted some photos where lost some where kept others where lost so just load up new photo's and all will be well in the land again!!

I was actually going to make an announcement about this. Ever since the server 'maintenance' only a few peoples avatars have worked. I deleted mine and reloaded it and now mine works as well. I suggest everyone do this as well.
