Scenery pics....LARGE PICS.....

I am sure I have started a thread like before, but since it has been almost a year since I have been fully active, I figured I would start again.


I Just spent the last year up in northern Maine as some of you may know. While I was up there, i did a lot of wheeling, lot of hiking as well as other things. I was also far enough away from the cities to have some amazing views. So, i wanted to share some of the pics I got from up there.

I had a thread going with some others I took after wheeling to the top of mount Pisgah, these are from atop a mountain about sixty-five miles north of there. not sure the name.















I have more if you all want to see them, but these are some of the best.

well last fall, New England had a record year for the foilage. It hit national news...LOL.... I am just glad I could get some shots, and thats with a cheap 100 dollar camera....LOL... I wish i had a much better one.


As for distance, in the first picture of the very first post I made in this thread, you see the two mountains in the background that are making the shape of a "V"? That was over 160 miles away from where I was standing! No joke. It helps that I was on top of a mountain myself...LOL

Okay, now the following night, down where I had my camper, the full moon was out during the sunset.....








Then as the night went on, I got my tripod out, messed with the appature and shutter speed settings on my camera, and after about two hourrs, I captured this..




Then I was into messing with these settings, and decided to see what they would do while trying to take a picture of the flame on our Tiki Torch... these are cool, IMO

I know, i have been told that I have a knack for taking and editing pictures. I just wish i had the camera to do it better.....same with my videos.

here are a couple from a recent storm we had.. i took them with my iphone so they arent the best but its still crazy how the clouds were moving.. the storm rolled in quick.. within 10 mins it went from not a cloud in the sky to 50 mph winds and hail on a 100 degree day
