| I found this in the junkpile the other day and figured I could make some kind of ram air out of it. Problem is find a place in here for it: I was considering doing it like the way the hypermax cowl induction is. If anyone has any pics of how that is set up, I would appreciate it if you would post them up. | |

| it cant be a completely sealed setup into your intake cause you need to be able to drain water.. i was gonna do a ram air setup on my jimmy but didnt cause of the same reason.. couldnt figure out how to get the water out.. | |

| all you need to do is punch a hole in your intake tube somewhere and run a catch can or a small line to let the water drain out of the air box or whatever you're using | |

| the setup i was gonna do wasnt that easy.. it was gonna be directly off the hood threw a air cleaner and then into the intake since the hood inlet is just infront of my intake.. | |

| hey you asked for ideas.. i gave you mine to see of you had enough room to pull it off.. all you need to really do is find an open place to mount that thing under your bumper or in an opening in your bumper if you have one and route it from there.. | |

| Yeah I know man!!! I need a ton of 3" pvc and a cone style K/N filter. What I'd want to do is run the pvc from the motor down along the frame rail and up through the bed and fix my air filter to the roll bar I'm planning on putting in. I just don't know how I'm gonna fix it to my TB. | |

| 1st gen TB. 2 large injectors dump into 2 butterfly valves. Looks almost like a 2 barrel carb. I don't have a vortec or direct injection. | |

| aaaah.. tbi.. that's easy lol just use an old style closed breather that has the snout on it or whatever.. cut the end off to shorten it up a little and you're good to go lol | |

| See now that tough crossed my mind however the old skool closed element breathers started out in a circle and then ovals out. I'm just not sure how to get that connected. I mean sure I could use duct tape or universal cool air intake kit but I don't want it looking all jacked up and crap I would like to look clean. you know. | |

| oh, btw.. john, you'd be better off building a PVC ram air intake.. doing a ram air with that ribbed plastic tubing won't give you much gain, if any.. the ribs on the inside of the tubing will just be an air flow restrictor | |

| you can use a 2nd gen vortec blazer or s10 peice.. dude i know did it with his 91 chevy truck.. fits snug around the TB and all you gotta do is drill a hole in the center for the nut.. he use some silicon to seal around the top of the tb and hole he drilled but im sure you could just use a rubber oring and washer.. | |

| yeah.. i forgot about those lol but with my way, you can still run the air filter in the old style breather.. that's better than putting a filter at the end and leaving it exposed to the elements | |
