| Ok this mornin started my truck up and headed to school. Well i back it and put it in 1st let out the clutch and moves foward and dies. Start back up get down to the end of the drive way it dies. I try startin it and it jus turns over. Is it carb trouble or ignition? any ideas? | |

| Sounds like a fuel supply issue Did you say it was a carburatored 350 distributor, rotor, coil. just like the good old days | |

| i would say its a gas issue.. does it have any gas in it.. lol.. maybe the fuel pump is on its way out.. and the thing under the cap is called a rotor. | |

| Could be a slightly plugged fuel filter.. The thingy under the cap (distributor Cap) is the rotor | |

| HPI igniton. theres not coil on this truck. Electronic ignition doesnt have coils right? | |

| the reason im leanin toward moisture was the cap was wet, but i cant smell gas so i dont think its floodin ,but then again my nose is clogged cuz of mine sinuses lol | |

| Well that's a quick and easy fix. (moisture) pop off the cap... spray the inside with WD40.. blow it out, or wipe it out with paper towel. Then try starting it. I still think it's a fuel supply issue | |

| ok now when i turn it over after awhile i get a whinin noise but its not a belt whine. Could it have to do with the distrubutor | |

| its hard to say without a little better discription.. where is the noise coming from, what exactly does it sound like whither it be metal on metal, scraping plastic, screaching tires, etc.. you need to check for fuel, air and spark.. start from there and figure out what one you dont have.. | |

| get some starter fluid and spray it down the carb and see if it starts. or TB fluid. | |

| Like Joe said Make sure your getting the essential. Fuel Air and Spark. Then work back from there. Did you pop your distributor cap off to make sure everything is OK under there? | |
