| Cool !!! Andrew !!! That's an awesome site. If I wasn't such a chicken.. I would tear into my V70R and try and make more than the factor 300 hp. I know my son wouldn't hesitate to do it to his S70 | |

| Here is a good one. I'll try and keep this as short as possible so as not to loose you. I have my Volvo V70R listed on Autotrader.ca and on Kijiji.ca Well this morning I checked my email and a fella named Tom wanted to buy my car. His story started out as he was a Petroleum Engineer and was working off the shores of Australia or as he spelled it astraela LOL He wanted to thank his parents for supporting him through school in order to get the education he has today. In thanking them he wanted to buy them this car. With no phone service on the oil drill rig our only communication will be by email. Tom said He could only pay via Paypal and that he would dispatch a vehicle delivery agent to pick up the car and deliver it to his parents in Quebec. I phoned Paypal and asked if they were familiar with any kind of a scam like this. Paypal said No. It seems legit enough. I also asked what the fees were going to total on my sale. I still had a uncomfortable feeling. It still felt like it was too good to be true. So I thought I would just start moving ahead with the deal. So I told Tom the Petro Engineer The car is going to cost $20,000 + Paypal fees $780.30 and all of this will be in usd. totaling over $21,000 cdn. Tom said Cool give me your paypal address. So instead of just giving him my address I tried to send him a Paypal invoice. This is were the scam became apparent I had to call Paypal back I couldn't send an invoice that large. The largest invoice I could send was $10,000 usd The nice girl on the phone said invoice him 3 times. I asked will I still be protected by Paypal protection on this purchase? She could answer my question so she forwarded me over to security I told security They said NO Your Not protected by Paypal protection #1 You can only make a claim on one person, one purchase, one invoice... not multiple invoices So the max I could get back would be $10,000 #2 There is no Paypal Protection for automotive transactions #3 No Paypal Protection for items Picked up by purchaser Oh yeah BTW if I did give him my Paypal address and he did send the money It wouldn't have had Paypal protection b/c I didn't invoice him. Email reply to Tom the Petro Engineer off the shores of Astraela Sorry Tom. I can't sell you my car. If your Vehicle Delivery Agent wants to deliver CASH or Certified Cheque I will give him the ownership, Keys and car. If Not?? Deal Off Thanks Glenn

Ya know what ??? for the first month or so.. It was No fun in the snow. The traction control wouldn't let my play. Then one of the mechanics showed my how to disable it. He is a good question for you all. Any ideas on how to disable the driver assist traction control???

| It does have a button but all the button does is Reduces the Drive Assist Traction Control. If I could disable it completely? I would be able to have lots of fun in the snow.
Any more ideas on how to disable the traction control?

| Is there a fuse for it? I know on some cars the traction control has a dedicated circuit so removing the fuse disables it. | |

That's true .. It is fused in amongst all of the other computer controls. I noticed on a Speed performance program that one of the new Mustangs had the same Drive Stability Traction Control. The push of the button would disable it. But after some time it would reset itself It was frustrating to the rally slalom drivers. but in the mustang they were able to pull the fuse, then continue racing. In my Volvo all I had the do was push the button 3 times = able, reduced, able, reduced, able, Disabled. Go play in the snow.
