It was a Mack Prime Mover 300ton pull tractor. It was powered by an END673 yup the old 673 non turbo when the motor finally puked, this crazy old man tugged the truck into his shop pulled out the END673 and replaced it with not a used not a rebuilt not a reman but a brand New Hot off the press NOS ENDT676, then he had the whole truck sand blasted n repainted that was 10 years ago, truck is still around shiny as when she was new still towing. . . Mike Where in the heck are you getting all of these stats ??? You even know the ratios of every axle of every vehicle you own. Who does that? Are you popping off every differential cover and counting teeth? or do you know of an online link you could share with us What's the point in buying a Mack if you don't use every gear??? Those gears are there for pulling... If your empty. Why waste your time climbing through those gears if you don't need them all. When your empty, sometimes you can get enough thrust from a gear to send you past the next gear. This is why you see some of these young guys driving these trucks and you see the truck dive then buck. don't get me started on these new, young truck drivers

Questions still out there bud. I'd luv to know were you get your info the Quadraplex isn't 18 spd's its 20 spd's . . .T20 50 = 5spd T20 70 = 7spd 2 180 = 18spd just a few examples . . . 5 x4 = 20 5x3= 15 5x2 =10 5 =1 = 6 <- how it was explained to me From Madison Mack sales INC.+ told by many who drove such trucks. tho i haven't counted each shift i just drove the DM600 this fall it has a 2stick 6spd and by gosh there is 6 forward speed's 2 Reveres even . . . the 7 x 3 wasn't a B truck to my recollection but here's how i figured it out: Transmission ID: 7spd main box 3 spd splitter dash panel label listed "21spd compound shifting procedure" 1-7 low split 1-7 direct split 1-7 high split 7 x 3 = 21, 21SPD. Rear end ID: the ID tag on the diff listed 120K-LB axle rating with a 12.55:1 gear ratio. My Mack listed : i have/had sticker on dash showing all 5 spots for the main gear and secondary sticker showing 3 spots for the auxy, the Rear ends have ID tag's listing them as 65K-lb axles with raito: 6.38. If the Vehicle in question dose NOT list the data i join some site and with some photos n IDing n factory spec lists come up with what options i have. and Yes on some rear ends you have jack it up and spin some wheel's or yank some diff covers and do some Mathematics. Gear oil's should be changed about once a year, if you'll notice EVERY Differential out there has a recommend service interval, that nobody follows. . . Mike
