I've never worked on a 375, but I have worked on a few MF's. Have you checked the cable linkage?

well, i pulled the top cover plate off of the transmission, couldnt see what i was needing, loaded it up, and took it to a repair place..... i got looking at the repair manual, and didnt like the looks of all the little pieces, and gears..... besides that, i dont have the equipment to split a tractor that big in the ranch shop.....

Most of the tractors my dad owns are bigger (1065, 1085, 1135, etc) but we have one 165. None of them use the same transmission as yours, IIRC. But, all those little pieces are not good. It surprises me, as they have very good drivetrains. We've never had one fail, and one tractor has >11,000 hours on it.

ours is a 65 horse, and the transmission is fine, its just something has bound the gear shift lever up, so we cannot go into a higher range..... being stuck in low range with this mf is top speed of 4mph..... not good for disking...... when i say little pieces, im talking about the pins, bushings, and smaller stuff that support the gears.... other than not being able to switch ranges, it works fine..... id do the work, but there isnt an access cover into where the shift lever hooks up, and it has to be split.....

just got off the phone with the guy at the implement shop told me he found the problem, its common on our year and model of tractor, the part is 15$, and labor is going to cost 450, and take 5 hours.... he only has to pull it apart a little ways......

a little bushing deal came apart, and fell into the track that the gear selector stick rides in, keeping it from moving forward so it can change ranges... he said the rest of the tranny looks really good.

Excellent. Those transmissions are bulletproof. It'll outlast the tractor. Changing the fluid wouldn't hurt though.

Have you tried water? That will weigh them down and stiffen them up at the same time.

i cannot use water here.... it has been freezing at night for about 2 months now.... and the last week we been barely above freezing during the day.... im thinking of ordering a 55 gallon drum of a liquid called Tire Life.. its only 120 dollars, weighs about 12 pnds. a gallon.... its a rust inhibitor, plus it helps to seal the little leaks that agricultual tires tend to have...

Can you just get the tires filled with umm... I think it's just rubber compound... makes the tires solid and wieghts like a ton. The junk yards round here do it to their loaders.

I suck at anything outside of a 4x4 so I may sound dumb but true be told I just don't know! lol
