| so, after she melted the wiring harness down, after a mouse ate it, I found a harness, and walaah, she runs again..... the gauges are still acting up again....... so now, I am rebuilding it, with a custom dash and interior, more built around mud bogging, and rock crawling...... Im now looking for the dana 44 front and rear from a old Full size jeep that I need for the solid axle swap........... Its all in the works...... I had it painted black, and my wife suggested the green(John deere no less, I have a redneck wife) Anyway, what do you all think? Do I leave the thing black, or do I do the green....... also, any input on transmissions that work with the 4.3 v6, perferably automatic, it'd be nice to have those as well | |

| looks like a fun little swap.. i have tons of info on the s10 solid axle swaps so if you need anything lemme know.. there are companies that make conversion kits and such for them so its a fairly simple swap.. | |

| The black and green combo would look awesome! For a transmission I would go with a TH-400. Strong, and great working. | |

| Drop in a 350. I despise 4.3L's with every fiber of my being. | |

| 4.3 is staying...... it has never failed to start, and its only got 9500 miles on a gm factory replacement engine..... got the truck for 5 dollars and the labor to reside, and reroof his house..... it wasnt running, all it needed was the tbi system torn apart and cleaned, which i did, and she has started everytime........... the tranny is pretty well shot, and i am wanting a little trail rig/ hunting wagon/ winter weather work ride, so i dont hurt the gmc..... and if im dumpin a 350 into a truck, itll be replacing the 5.0 in my 95...... | |

| Long story Mike, I've yet to own one, or drive a vehicle with one that has exceeded 120K w/o blowing up. There's too much to really go into. I just don't like them | |

| I say go with John Deere color I seen this Honda Goldwing paint that color of the wheels were yellow and the body was green it even had a old medal seat on it in fact the guy even placed stickers on the gas tank it really looked like if John Deere had made it special just for him. I would have bought it if I had the money that's how good it looked I say put some yellow in it as well make it look good so when one see's it they will get a kick out of it. | |

look for 66-77 bronco rears too.. D44 and ford 9".. can't go wrong with either 1.. i strongly advise not using a jeep rear.. they suck beans, even with aftermarket parts | |
