 MAP sensor

Ok guys i need to know what to do.. when i unplug the map sensor on my truck it runs a whoooooooooole lot better but still just a wee bit rough should i just go pick up a new MAP or what?

thats what i would do, get a new one if you know its bad. how does the truck run? does it idel strange? you may want to check ur throttle body and adjust the idle speed. should be a little screw on the throttle body (or carb if its carb's)

If you unplug the map sensor and it runs better you have an air leak or a fuel problem.

where should i start with the whole leak/fuel problem... fuel pump, lines what?

to check for air leaks get some carb cleaner or starter fluid and spray the base of the TB and all around the intake gasket, if that dont change the idle then spray around some of the sensors that go into the manifold like the map sensor and egr.. check your vacuum lines as well cause they could be rotted.. for fuel i recomend a pressure test and leakdown test.. maybe an injector is crappin out on ya. could be a few things..
