I just joined the site and looking forward to whatever it can offer. I have a 1971 M35A2 6x6 Jeep Kaiser cargo truck. It has a 6 cylinder multifuel turbo diesel and a 5 speed with a 2 speed air shift transfer case. I also installed an air-o-matic power steering unit on my truck, makes it much easier to steer. I recently installed a small lift set up in the rear to help loading and unloading heavy items. Thanks Todd

I fabricated a receiver hitch and was most recently in the local Homecoming parade for the local high school and had over 60 kids between the truck and trailer.

Welcome aboard Todd! That is an awesome truck. Do you daily drive it? or is it just a toy/work truck?

To answer you question, I put on about 600 miles per year and really only drive it to parades, car/truck shows and around town. It is pretty loud, since it has no muffler. I took it on a 300 mile trip in August and I must say the seats suck and it's loud! If anyone has any idea where I can find 2 low back air ride seats, preferably in Southeast WI I would really appreciate it.

I cant get over how cool that is. What is your main fuel? And what are the power ratings?

I use mostly all diesel fuel, but if I have a couple of gallons of old 2cycle mix to get rid of I'll burn that also. It has 130hp, but remember it is a 13,000lb truck with 6.72 gears.

6.72 gears??? Ahh you've got yourself a 5 ton eh?? Nice and merlin to answer your question check this out!
So does that rig have the double reduction rear axle or is it just a standard full floater? I though 5 tons where burl trucks until I dicovered they make a 10 ton truck with 1011.1 gears with double reduction rear axles and a full floating front axle!!

I was gone for awhile, now I'm back. Since last time I have changed my fuel filters from canister to Wix screw on's. Changed both oil filters from canister to Wix filters also, much quicker oil pressure that way. Added two extra mounted spare tires to my cargo bed and a nice three color camo cargo cover. Other than normal maintenance everything has been normal.[img][/img]

Welcome to the site Todd Awesome rig man. Looks like fun, I bet it's a real head turner when you bring it out. Did you happen to see the episode on Extreme 4x4 when Ian cut up a 6x6 and made it into a 4x4 hauler?
