I have nothing to contribute, but You one brave some of a gun to crawl under that truck with your ramps only on the grass. I hope one doesn't start to sink.

you can hit the spindles with a dead blow a few times while pulling up on the tie rods sometimes.. i use that method when i have to re-use the tie rods but a pickle fork works great if you dont care about tearing the rubber boots.. trust me.. i have worked with much less.. usually i go to the junkyard with a minimum amount of tools to get what i need off.. and if i aint got it i figure a way around it.. i have used oil dipsticks as flathead screwdrivers before.. lol

nah im usin the pitman puller to get the pitman off the centerlink. the puller dont even fit the arm where is hits the spindle. the claws go in too far so im gonna grind em and hope orielly's dont notice. lol. i got the idler arm side off. it wouldnt budge so i was layin there smokin my lucky strikes and bam! it flew off and hit me in the ear (the puller).

depends.. if the boots are still good, the grease would be coming out of the top or bottom of the boot.. usually the bottom because the top is tightly pressed against the mating surface

ok next question, the bushing on the idler arm like fell apart. is that replaceable or does the whole thing need to be replaced.
